Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a soft to high impact manual therapy for muscles, tendons and bones. Osteopathy is developed to treat acute and chronic pain, improve blood circulation and increase energy levels. It is especially indicated for trauma patients who experienced accidents, surgeries, birth trauma, etc. Recommended frequency: once a week. Complementary treatments are Acupuncture and Physical Therapy.

Osteopathy

Osteopathy promotes proper functioning of the body by correcting mechanical imbalances within and between the body structures (muscles, bones, ligaments, organs and connective tissue). All parts of the body function together in an integrated manner. If one part of the body is restricted, the rest of the body must adapt and compensate, eventually leading to inflammation, pain and other health conditions. Osteopathy also addresses the mind-body connection (physical pains caused by emotional turmoil, stress and trauma).

OSTEOPATHY CONDITIONS TREATED INCLUDE

The goal of osteopathy is to restore, improve and maintain the harmonious working of the nervous and musculoskeletal systems. The benefits of osteopathy are:

  • Improved Blood Circulation
  • Higher Energy Levels
  • Increased Sense of Wellbeing
  • Improved Posture Patterns
  • Improved Biomechanical Patterns
  • Greater Flexibility and Movement
  • Decreased Muscular Pain and Toxicity

SOLUTION COMBINATION

Osteopathy can be applied to treat trauma (accidents, birth, surgeries, etc.), posture problems, long term/chronic conditions and acute conditions. Children can be treated with osteopathy’s soft healing techniques.

Using Body & Soul’s integrative approach, doctors might use additional western diagnostic techniques (ultrasound, X-Ray, etc.) when necessary to gain a comprehensive understanding of the patient condition. Acupuncture and physical therapy, offered on-site, are excellent complementary therapies to osteopathy.
