Integrative Medicine: As natural as possible, as scientific as necessary.

Integrative medicine always looks at a patient as a whole comprising the physical and ethereal or body and soul. Using this system the human body is not treated separately nor isolated into parts.

Integrative Medicine gives us a very deep understanding of the overall workings of disease processes in the body and the soul. This is used as a base for holistic therapy. The treatment methods strive to develop balance for the patient and are therefore always based on a close cooperation between the doctor and the patient. The patient’s lifestyle and their medical history are explored in detail. In the treatment sessions you will find a combination of both Western Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine modalities being used.

Integrative Medicine incorporates a variety of healing methods. A holistic doctor will always choose the best therapeutic treatment method for the patient to reinforce the natural healing process. Therefore, after the doctor establishes the disease pattern and clinical picture of the patient they will determine which treatment method should be used: Western Medicine, TCM or a combination of both.

When necessary our integrative doctors may refer patients to a variety of medical specialists in other medical facilities. There is a spectrum of medical specialists available at Body and Soul Medical Clinics including internal medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, orthopedic surgeons, dermatology and urology. To facilitate your treatment plan, your doctor may also refer you to a specialist at another facility, depending upon your medical needs.
